Response for Alzidi99 -- the Sultanate of Oman is yet to covered by the World Values Survey, which measures happiness among other things such as tolerance. In the West Asia region, the countries covered by the surveys to date are Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iran, Israel and Jordan.

This is hilarious! Barely half the planet (of those nations surveyed) is happy. I wonder what Freud would have said? Or Aristotle? As an American, I'm happy about 90% of the time. As long as I'm ignoring the news. And I forget where I live. Once that happens, my joy meter tilts way left....
p.s. to olamide: yes, smoking sucks. I smoke. But it can bring a great deal of relief as well. Like coffee or sunshine or the smell of earth after a rain.
