FACTOID # 6: The five countries with the highest coffee consumption are also the five countries whose citizens trust one another the most. Coincidence? Probably.

Mexico has a tremendous amount of cannabis use. I cannot believe that it ranks so low. I also know that Afghanistan has big percentage of use as well. It grows freely there. I know - I was in the military over there. I SAW IT!

Is this statistic per capita? Cuz it boggles the mind that the U.S. has more potheads than Belgium, Holland or Switzerland. And yes, I heard that it was legal in Belgium as long as u bought it while u were in Holland. And as for Switzerland, I heard they're legalizing it there.

Hay, antonio, New Zealand is tops here, but it is also 3rd in the world for math literacy, so i dont think any of what you said is related, go NZ!

I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT A COUNTRY LIKE THE NETHERLANDS WHERE SMOKING CANNABIS IS LEGALISED IN SOME PARTS, WOULD BE A LOT HIGHER IN THE RANKINGS. WHAT DOES THIS SAY FOR AUSTRALIA? IF THE SMOKING OF CANNABIS WAS LEGALISED IN AUSTRALIA DO YOU THINK THE USE WOULD FALL?

"Cannabis use has been linked to learning disorders, aggravation of psychiatric problems and cancer." These remarks are statedby someone whom cant see straight and that focus on old facts and myths rather then focusing on new facts. There is no link between learning disorder and cannabis. It has been stated that under usage and the inflence of cannabis substances it is far more harder to learn or understand, however after a few hours this goes away and no kognitiv functions are disturbed nor is there any problem of learning.

Also I cant see how "amphetamines, alcohol (spirits, beer, wine) and tobacco" is of any intrest speaking about cannabis. Even WHO confirmes and say that Cannabis has been misjudged and arent as dangerious as been claimed. Cannabis is a drug. So is most of the flowers in your garden. Go out and explore. I believe Cannabis would be the only one that would keep u from crashing your body doing so. I could take up facts on facts but since small narrowminded people get stuck into one prehistorical sence of what Cannabis are that would be using my strength were it couldnt do any use.

New Zealand is top in a hell of a lot of education fields. Why not link them to cannabis use?

That would be just as naive and biased as linking our negative statistics to cannabis use (oh, but no - cannabis is evil, it MUST be the cause!).

Don't be daft.

I'd like to point out that New Zealand's property crimes, teenage pregnancy and rape victims statistics are to be blamed on our binge drinking culture. We drink to get drunk, when we're drunk we do stupid stuff.

Educating, if not completely misleading.
Cannabis DOES affect your driving, but so does caffeine and nicotine and lack of sleep. Cannabis has been SHOWN to make drivers MORE cautious.

My extended family all live in Holland not one of them has ever even come close to touching a joint. They all firmly believe that legalization has eased usage among countrymen.
" New Zealand Tops on Cannabis Use, Youth Suicide Rates, Teenage pregnancy, Property Crime Victims, Rape Victims." I hope you're not suggesting that is all related?

U.S. Presidents should be required to smoke pot and eat acid at least once a year. The uptight power hungry set must be subdued or else we'll never get out of this cycle of imperialist violence.

Besides, there is much evidence to show that civilization itself would not exist if not for the discovery of naturally occuring hallucinogens in the fertile crescent (modern day Egypt, Israel, West Bank, Gaza Strip, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Iran and Turkey). Before cities like Jericho, some 65,000 years ago, man lived as nomads with no reason to settle in one spot but with the discovery of magic mushrooms they were given a powerful reason to stay put. It is also believed that the writers of the bible (or the men who channeled God if you prefer) were heavy into shroomin' and gave them the visions that lent them there mystical air. Grain fermentation was also discovered at this time and the production alcohol was born. Drugs are necessary for civilization and vice versa.
